I've been to Gili Air twice now, both times with parents tagging along.
Our first time to the island, we ended up staying at a guesthouse right next to 'Next Level Scuba', which completely turned out to our luck.
I value a lot seeing my folks being taken cared of when I'm traveling with them, from my non-diving dad who was allowed snorkling from the boat, to my diving mom getting so much attention, care and help as not to lift heavy equipment, the gear was always assembled when we arrived for the briefings - to the logbook sessions after the dives, sitting and writing in the data and sights of new marine life.
The equipment is spotless, and tanks are always nicely filled - the briefings was always nice, clear and relaxed for the fun dives we did. The diving itself is spectacular, only time it's phased up a bit, is when it's forced by currents. Otherwise they're fun, relaxed and really interesting for all levels in diving.
The crew is a blast to hang out with after the dives, chatting and sharing good stories on the couches makes you feel like a small part of the shop-family during your stay on Gili Air - specially their fluffy cats are welcoming you! π
There's always smiles, waves and hugs here, which is the reason why I'm aiming to be visiting this little gem a 3rd time, 4th time.... 5th time?
Can't wait to be back!
